Maximum execution time exceeded.

Hi there,

First please let me say that I absolutely LOVE your script!  smile

I have been fighting a problem for a few days now and I have traced the error,  but am not sure what to do about it.

I went to the forums and found the switch to enable error reporting in the scripts,  and enabled it.

This is the result:

"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /public_html/ctrack/include/cleaning-crawler-entry.php on line 98"

...  can you help me with an updated file or coding change I can try?

I have a high traffic site,  and would be happy to help you test things if you need high traffic testing done.

Anyway,   I am very hopeful you will have a solution.  smile

Thank you!

Re: Maximum execution time exceeded.

An update:   I commented out the code that was causing the timeout until you can think of a way to fix it.  smile

I thought I should also mention that this is on a dedicated server and a very high-end server at that,  so it is not stalling as a result of a slow server.

Thank you for any help.

Re: Maximum execution time exceeded.

Hi,

You can change the value of the $maxlimit variable in the cleaning-crawler-entry.php file (line 24), it's set at 10000 as a standard you can try to decrease it until it's ok.
Or you can increase the max_execution_time value in your php.ini file.

Re: Maximum execution time exceeded.

Thank you for the pointer to that line.

The curious thing is this:   At 10000 it takes more than 30 seconds,  but at 9000 it completes in 1.2 seconds.    Isn't that strange?

Anyway,  thanks again for the help!  smile
