I can't pass by that error on the installation (Step 1). I have tried several ways and several database users/admins passwords and I know the data that I put in the form is correct... but for some reason is not connecting to the database. I don't see any errors on httpd logs nor on mysqld log.
Please, help me connect to the database so I can try the product, since recently I've had some hackers inserting scripts in my website and I want to avoid that for the future.
And I have RedHat Linux 5 running apache and mysqld. I created the database "crawl" and nothing happens.
Thanks, I will appreciate it a lot.

Hi,
If your sure that you are using the right login and password, it could be the server name which is not right but surely something is wrong among login, password, server name or base name.

Thanks a lot for replying...
I copied configconnect.php on include foler and that helped me to pass the installation process... but now when I get into the crawltrack site nothing happens... I tried to use the test crawler and it does nothing but it says it's on the database.
could it be because all the SELINUX protection??... RedHat 5 comes with a firewall of some sort.... it's like it won't let anything access services, in this case mysqld... i don't know...
Any ideas?

Hi,
Stupid question: did you have install the tag on your pages?

No.. I totally didn't... how dumb... I though those tags were only to help market crawltrack.... Now it's working most of the things I have tried... I tried also some 404 errors that didn't show but I will give it a try for a couple of days...
Thanks a lot for your help!.
