Crawlprotect is banning my own website

Hi

I have a joomla website and crawlprotect works great.

You mention a test that can be done as follows to test.

http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?site=http://www.test.com
where I change yoursite.com to my website.
It gets detected as a hacking attempt.

The problem I have is that I use this function within my website when I try to update items so it would be something like

http://www.yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_docman&section=files&task=update&old_filename=Create-Your-First-Website.zip

This gets treated like a hacking attempt
I understand if you enter the URL outside my website, that is, directly into a browser, I would expect to have it treated like a hacking attempt.

But within my own website, I would expect it to be allowed.

It looks like something must be added to the .htaccess to allow this type of URL.
It is creating many headaches for me.

Please help

Joe

Re: Crawlprotect is banning my own website

Hi,

If you read carefully all the instruction in the htaccess creation form you should find where to add your own site url to avoid that issue  wink.

1) if you know the list of domain you will call in the url (instead of www.example.com in the example shown above); you just have to put the domain list here (separate by a coma). In case of unexpected blockage on your site, the first thing to try is to put your own domain in that list.
