Integration with Joomla

Joomla already has a .htaccess file with Rewrite rules to block out some common exploits.

I would like to implement Crawlprotect on a Joomla installation. Should any of the original Joomla .htaccess file be removed, or should everything be left in place?

Thanks,

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi

I also have Joomla 1.5.15 where I have implemented crawltrack and it works very nicely.

I want to implement crawlprotect also
As already mentioned Joomla has its own .htaccess with options to stop hackers, etc.

I am not sure how to incorporate the crawlprotect .htaccess file options into the Joomla .htaccess

Can you please advise what has to be done as I am worked I could cause problems for my website if I do not implement things correctly.

Thanks

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi,

I think that the best is to copy the complete CrawlProtect .htaccess content at the beginning of the Jomla one. And then test your site to check that everything is OK.
In case of any issue, you will just have to remove the what you have add in the htaccess file to come back to actual situation.

Re: Integration with Joomla

Jean-Denis

I put the crawlprotect .htaccess into the Joomla .htaccess at the beginning and it appears to be working OK

I had a problem with another site where it did not show where hackers were from.  The box was empty.  On my Joomla site I saw a pie graph with country of haker

The site showed the following empty box

The hackers are from:

---------------------------------------
x Origin

-----------------------------------------

Any ideas why the pie graph does not display

Thanks

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi,

If you try to display only the graph (right clic on the graph and then display the image) did you get any error message?
If not try to put the following line just after <?php into the origin-graph.php file (graphs folder):

error_reporting(E_ALL);

And try again to see if you get an error message.

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi,

For your first question on the htacces:
I have move the noaccess.php files to an other folder in order to be ables to keep the protection of CrawlProtect even on the crawlprotect folder. So the new empty htaccess file is here just to overwrite the existing one in case of upgrade from a previous release.

For the error log, this will be corrected in the 1.2.1 coming soon.

Thanks for your help,

Jean-Denis

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi

I installed crawlprotect 1.2 and after login there was no logout button.  You should put one

On the 1.1 previous version index.php page I found the following iframe injection:

[iframe src="http://gtwdnsglobe.org/" width="2" height="4"][/iframe]

How is this possible?

I am going to CHMOD 400 the ver 1.2 index.php

Re: Integration with Joomla

Hi,

I will add a log out button on the next release.
Be carreful if you find some code on the file it's because your server is already infected. You have certainly a malicious file somewhere that you have to remove (often unfortunnatly the only solution is to delete everything and to reinstall a clean version).
